Our Story
As a child a favorite passtime of mine was building fairy houses among the deciduous trees of Ohio. There was an imaginary world centered around rubber monsters that I shared with my brother when I was not tormenting him. Eventually I let myself be convinced that I needed a real job. At one point I studied and worked as a naturalist/field biologist. This somehow turned into teaching for 25 years, mostly in elementary schools. All the while my imagination was kept well packed and hidden from the world in the back of my mind. Now I am old and can do whatever the hell I want. So I carve and make creatures that come from the scattered myths, ancient stories, and dark corners of our collective minds.
I live in Silver City, New Mexico with a wife who still puts up with me in spite of my various habits and odd behaviors. I have two remarkable children who seethe with creativity. I currently sell art at The Grant County Art Guild in Silver City, as well as at various art events.
