Cat Totem

Cats keep showing up as I carve lately. Perhaps it is because they have invaded my dreams.

They shed hair near my face as they expand and hog the bed at night. They leap back and forth across the bed, and stand on my resting shoulder, tapping at my face and calling loudly in the wee hours before light. They tell lies and claim that they have not been fed. Then they curl in the sun and sleep all day while I toil and toil.

Then they raise their butt in the air and meow so sweetly, and I scratch and scritch and am once again held in their thrall.
Dammit

This one is made to hang on a wall.
